Central Florida Spotlight!!!
Moss Park Camp Ground is located in southeastern Orange County and today it was time for a drive-through after not having been there in 6+ years.
The 1552 acre county-run park is located between Lake Hart and Lake Mary Jane. There’s a boat ramp (it’s under construction right now) and a canal between the lakes so you can access either of both. Pavilions, picnic tables, and playgrounds are located throughout the park and you’ll typically see some of the residents wildlife if you walk around a bit. Admission to the park is pretty cheap; 1-2 passenger vehicles are $3, 3-8 passenger vehicles are $5 and it's $1 per person if you’re biking or walking in.
The campground has over 50 sites and each has electricity and water plus a picnic table, grill, and fire ring. There’s a bathhouse in the middle of the loop and a dump station on the way out. Rates for single sites are $18 for Orange County residents/ $23 for out of county guests and there are four larger “family sites” available where you can park a pair of RVs or have several tents set up. Rates for those are $54 for Orange County residents and $64 for everyone else. Seniors and active military receive 25% off. Pets are not allowed in the campground.
If you’re looking for a wonderful, inexpensive “stay-cation” in Central Florida, you just found it.
